Thanksgiving Fun

I am sorry it took so long to post from Thanksgiving. Life this time of year always seems to get a head of us. This thanksgiving we spent time with family in New Hampshire. We are so blessed to have our family there and we really had a blast eating, dancing, playing and exploring. Thanksgiving is really a time of gratitude and love. We felt both this year. We are so honored to be a part of the families we are and we feel so humbled by the love we receive. We hope that you all feel the same love and know that we send it to you each and everyday. Here is to a blessed holiday season for all of us.

Nothin' better than a hug from a friend

The New Game...

Who likes baker's racks for cooking? No one in this house. This is so funny because Mitchell likes to pretend and Wyatt doesn't get it. Mitchell said to his brother when he started crying "No Hat, Shhhh, Nun Nite." It was really adorable.

Seasons of Change

Seasons come and go and we often forget to stop and notice the changes. We take for granted that the season will change and when it is changing from the cold of winter we often can not wait for it to hurry up and be summer. The other day the boys and I went for a walk in Lincoln Woods her in Rhode Island. It was a stunning morning brisk with sun streaming through the trees to warm us as we adventured our way through the park. It was while doing this I realized that we take change for granted, we fear change; yet we look for change to help us define who we are and what we want. We loose sight of the fact that we are in charge of change, we can use it to become more, to become authentic. As we wandered through the woods we saw the beauty of change close up in the leaves and the air. We all enjoyed the moment that we were witness to this change. The boys have a gift they give to any one around them daily and that is the simplicity of wonder. Everything is new. They basque in the initial meeting of something or someone new. I have to say for most things and people first impressions are everything and their joy is typically the first impression. I figure if the boys can enjoy the changes as they come why can't I. So, no matter what may come to our family this fall I promise you, I promise us, that we will fill our time with wonder, joy and love. What a way to take on change.

Welcome

Thank you for visiting our blog. It is funny to have one, I always thought they were for someone else. Someone more savvy, younger, hipper, someone with something to say. I guess I am now that person. I have now seen a few blogs of people I love and I realized that many people can benefit from them. It allows us all space to share thoughts and images in our our time. I hope you enjoy our lives as viewed through this blog. I know we are pleased to share it with you. Much love. Namaste.

Morning

Morning has always been my favorite time of day. The beginning of a new day time to clear your mind and assess your expectations of your day. These days I close my eyes I and I hear the laughs, yells and cries of two of my favorite people in the whole world. Two people that although they are small in stature are huge in spirit. These two little guys have changed my perspective on life and for me that changes every morning. I now plan my days through the energy they have created, I remember that stopping to check out ants or laughing at the wind blowing are something I have missed for many years. All of the sudden I am reminded that they know more than I do. They have not forgotten the gifts we receive daily from life all around us. I am also reminded that we are not separate from the people we pass waiting for the bus or the mason (Mark is his name) who has been fixing the brownstone down the street all summer. We have said hello to all of our new friends daily and they always smile and say hi back. I have noticed that we all get a smile on our faces as we see each other now. My mornings are now filled with exploring the world we live in instead of planning on how to get to enjoying it, now I am. I am grateful to have been reminded of this simple lesson.
